Colmcille Small Grant Scheme
Colmcille Small Grant Scheme to develop projects and partnership with Scotland.
It is possible to apply to this scheme at any time. It does not have a deadline.
Background of Colmcille
Colmcille is a partnership between Foras na Gaeilge in Ireland and Bòrd na Gàidhlig in Scotland. The aim of Colmcille is to further interaction and cooperation between speakers of Irish and Scottish Gaelic and to strengthen the two language communities.
Colmcille has three funding schemes:
- The Small Grant Scheme for carrying out research and for planning joint initiatives
- The Project Scheme for funding projects (the main Colmcille grant scheme)
- The Bursary Scheme to help people learn Scottish Gaelic
If you wish to develop a project with a partner in Scotland, or which makes use of Scottish Gaelic, the Small Grant Scheme gives support to develop joint projects and partnerships. When the partnership and project plan have been agreed through this grant scheme, an application can be made to the main Colmcille Project Scheme which gives a higher level of support, if that is necessary.
If you are interested in making an application, you can seek advice from a Colmcille officer before you complete the scheme’s application form.
